I received my Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Georgia in Athens. After 12 years as a music and theatre arts educator, I decided to pursue a Master of Science in Instructional Technology degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Over the course of my teaching career I taught in public, private, and charter schools in North Carolina and Georgia, and had the pleasure of working with students from early childhood through adults.
During my coursework at UNCW I found a particular passion for design, development, and project management and am enjoying refining my skills in these areas. As an instructional designer my focus is often on the motivation of the learners. I am excited about my skills as an instructional designer and trainer and believe my experience and education make those skills relevant and applicable in many fields.
My family and I currently reside in Wilmington, North Carolina. My husband is a middle school teacher and we are the proud parents of two exceptionally bright, endlessly energetic daughters.
